The plant grows in fallow wetlands of standing shallow water belongs to 'lilly’ family, that produces starchy white seeds and those seeds are purely edible.

The raw seed is extracted from the plant then cleaned and rubbed, which get smooth afterwards. The Makhaana is dried for few hours in bright sunlight.

Dried Seeds are sent for multiple frying process which takes place to get the poped Makhaana. After frying, nuts are preserved in container.

Flavouring & Seasoning process takes place with quality checkup for high quality Makhaana. Tempting Makhaana are packed and supplied to shop and customers.
